The small business community of San Francisco, which has been unable to reopen in any meaningful manner since Mayor London Breed enacted the shelter in place order, held a peaceful protest at City Hall on August 25. Small fitness studios, salons, tattoo studios, massage studios, estheticians, entertainment venues, artists and many more business sectors on the verge of collapse were represented.
The peaceful protest included speakers from the community urging the City take steps to provide some kind of relief to these businesses until they can open safely and make meaningful revenue. Swift action is needed immediately to avoid financial ruin.
